Terms of Service

1. Overview

Snippbot is an open-source, self-hosted autonomous AI agent platform developed and maintained by Snippai LLC ("Company", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and Snippai LLC governing your use of the Snippbot software, documentation, and all related services. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Snippbot in any capacity, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the software.

2. Definitions

  • Personal Use — Use by an individual for personal, educational, hobbyist, or non-commercial purposes. This includes using Snippbot for personal projects, learning, research, and experimentation that does not directly or indirectly generate revenue.
  • Commercial Use — Any use in a business context, for revenue generation, as part of a commercial product or service, by employees for business purposes, or any use that directly or indirectly contributes to generating revenue. If in doubt, it is commercial use.
  • Software — The Snippbot application, including all source code, compiled binaries, documentation, configuration files, assets, and any updates or modifications thereto.

3. Licensing

Snippbot licensing terms — including Free, Personal, and Commercial tiers, refund policy, transferability restrictions, and usage rights — are governed by the Snippbot License Agreement. By using the Software, you agree to the terms of the License Agreement as incorporated by reference into these Terms of Service.

5. Permitted Modifications

You may modify Snippbot's source code for personal use. If you redistribute modified versions, you must:

  • Include these same Terms of Service in their entirety
  • Not remove or alter any licensing notices, copyright notices, or attribution from the source code
  • Clearly indicate that the version has been modified and is not the official Snippbot release
  • Not imply endorsement by Snippai LLC of your modified version

6. Intellectual Property

The Snippbot name, logo, brand identity, and all associated trademarks are the exclusive property of Snippai LLC. The Snippbot source code is licensed under these Terms. You may not use the Snippbot brand, trademarks, or trade dress to suggest endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship of your products, services, or modified versions without prior written permission from Snippai LLC.

7. Assumption of Risk & No Warranty

YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF SNIPPBOT IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Snippbot has not been entirely vetted for all use cases, environments, or security configurations. The Software may contain bugs, errors, security vulnerabilities, or other defects.

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, SECURITY, OR COMPLETENESS. SNIPPAI LLC MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, OPERATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION, BE ERROR-FREE, OR BE SECURE.

This applies equally to personal use and commercial license use. Obtaining a commercial license does not expand any warranty or reduce any limitation of liability stated herein.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SNIPPAI LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, SUCCESSORS, OR ASSIGNS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER — including but not limited to:

  • Security vulnerabilities, exploits, or security breaches
  • Data breaches, data loss, data corruption, or unauthorized access to data
  • System damage, downtime, or service interruption
  • Financial loss, lost profits, lost revenue, or lost business opportunities
  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages
  • Damages arising from third-party claims related to your use of the Software
  • Damages arising from the actions, outputs, or behavior of AI agents created with the Software

This limitation applies regardless of the cause of action or the theory of liability — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal or equitable theory — and regardless of whether Snippai LLC has been advised of the possibility of such damages. If any jurisdiction does not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, Snippai LLC's total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software (which, for personal use, is zero).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Snippai LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Software; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of any third party; or (d) any actions taken by AI agents you create, configure, or deploy using the Software.

10. Third-Party Services

Snippbot integrates with third-party LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, etc.) using your own API keys. Snippai LLC is not responsible for and expressly disclaims all liability related to:

  • Third-party service terms, pricing, availability, or changes
  • Costs incurred from API usage with your keys
  • Content generated by AI models, including inaccurate, harmful, or unlawful output
  • Data transmitted to third-party services through your API keys
  • Security or privacy practices of third-party providers

11. AI Agent Conduct

You are solely responsible for the configuration, behavior, and output of any AI agents you create or deploy using Snippbot. Snippai LLC bears no responsibility for actions taken by AI agents, including but not limited to: automated communications, code execution, data access, file modifications, external API calls, or any other autonomous behavior. You agree to monitor and control your agents and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

12. Singularity Marketplace

Snippbot integrates with the Singularity Marketplace, a separate platform for distributing AI agent packages, tools, and workflows. Use of the Singularity Marketplace is governed by its own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By installing Packages from the Marketplace through Snippbot, you acknowledge that:

  • Third-party Packages are not created, endorsed, or guaranteed by Snippai LLC
  • Packages execute locally on your machine and may access files, make network requests, and perform system-level operations
  • You are solely responsible for evaluating the safety and suitability of any Package before installing it
  • Snippai LLC bears no liability for damages caused by third-party Packages

13. Termination

These Terms may be updated at any time at the sole discretion of Snippai LLC. Continued use of Snippbot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Violation of any provision of these Terms — including but not limited to unauthorized commercial use — results in immediate and automatic license termination. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies in your possession.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Snippai LLC regarding the use of the Software and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.
